I wrote a chapter titled Secrecy of Blood as part of a book supported by the Akademie AIR (Artist in Residency) of the Schmiede Hallein Festival. Each year, three artists are selected to co-write a book around the festival’s theme, and in 2023 the focus was on blood. In my chapter, I explore my personal experience with menstrual blood and menarche, reflecting on notions of purity, impurity, secrecy, and the perceived inconvenience associated with menstrual blood. This project was made possible thanks to the backing of the European Union’s Culture Moves Europe program. The book was publish in 2025.

Escribí un capítulo titulado El secreto de la sangre como parte de un libro apoyado por la Akademie AIR (Artista en Residencia) del Festival Schmiede Hallein. Cada año, tres artistas son seleccionados para coescribir un libro en torno a la temática del festival, y en 2023 el eje fue la sangre. En mi capítulo exploro mi experiencia personal con la sangre menstrual y la menarquía, reflexionando sobre las nociones de pureza, impureza, secretismo y la incomodidad que suele asociarse con la sangre menstrual. Este proyecto fue posible gracias al apoyo del programa Culture Moves Europe de la Unión Europea. El libro fue publicado en 2025.
